Survivorship NOW Vision

In 2011, Dragonheart Vermont expanded its community mission to include Survivorship NOW, which provides wellness programs for all cancer survivors in our community. It’s a perfect fit for Dragonheart Vermont, a breast cancer survivor and supporter organization that prides itself on breast cancer survivorship, team work, and community-building pursuits. Our goal is to help bridge the gap in support for cancer survivors between treatment and recovery. We do so by offering opportunities for exercise, connection, education, and support.

Our focus is to forge a Network On Wellness that will better serve survivors in our community. We are putting into place programs to guide, equip, and empower cancer survivors to live life well. Our vision is to create a Vermont Cancer Wellness Center in collaboration with our local institutions.

Financial support from the community through our Lake Champlain Dragon Boat Festival helps us fund Survivorship NOW. Our wellness programs will serve as a vital part of the recovery process for cancer survivors in our area.
