Burlington Taiko Group
We are glad to be long time supporters of Dragonheart with our participation in the festival. Please invite us even if you are many States away.   We do weddings, birthday parties and school presentations and Stuart loves to travel.  Since 1987, Burlington Taiko has been mesmerizing audiences with the powerful, spellbinding and propulsive sounds of the taiko. The Burlington Taiko Group estimates it has introduced over half a million people to the power of taiko via public performances. Men and women play with the passion of complete abandon, fully committing their bodies and spirits to the beautiful, precise choreography and powerful, surging rhythms expressed by taiko.

Jeh Kulu Dance and Drum Theater
A traditional West African performance and educational ensemble brings the spirit of West African Music and dance to New England since 1993.  Their vision is to raise cultural awareness, build a sense of community and have fun! The group features master artists who are well-known in their own countries, and also highly-trained American artists who have extensive experience in the field of education and social services.

Maiden Vermont
MaidenVermont is Central Vermont’s multi-generational women’s barbershop chorus. It has grown from 13 to over 50 voices since its 2004 beginning. These women don’t limit themselves to standard barbershop – they sing doo-wop, swing, Broadway show tunes, spirituals, the Blues and other great tight-harmony pieces. If you love to sing and can hold a harmony part, please come visit them any Thursday night at the Cornwall elementary school on Rt. 30. Call 802-388-1012 for further information.

Sambatucada!
Burlington’s own samba street band will be playing their contagious brand of Afro-Brazilian percussion. Patterned after Brazilian Carnival percussion orchestras with up to 300 musicians, Sambatucada! is a smaller scale version of the traditional community street bands from Rio de Janeiro and Salvador. Smaller to fit the scale of our Vermont home, this band still produces a BIG sound! For information call Bruce (802) 658-5924.
